Dr. Anna Sophie Heuchemer studied law and journalism in Berlin and at the University of Münster. During her studies, she worked as a student assistant at Schertz Bergmann in Berlin in 2006 and 2007. From 2008 to 2011, Dr. Heuchemer worked as a student assistant in the chair of Prof. Dr. Thomas Hoeren at the Institute for Information, Telecommunications and Media Law.
Throughout her legal clerkship, Dr. Heuchemer worked part-time at CMS Hasche Sigle in Cologne as a research assistant in the IP/IT team. She then completed her elective training at Westdeutscher Rundfunk in Cologne before joining the law firm Lampmann, Haberkamm & Rosenbaum in Cologne in 2014 as a lawyer specializing in press and freedom of expression law. At the beginning of 2017, she moved to the law firm HÖCKER in Cologne, where she also worked primarily as a lawyer in the field of press and freedom of expression law until mid-2020.
In 2016, Dr. Heuchemer completed the specialist lawyer training course for copyright and media law in Cologne. In 2019, she completed her doctorate in press law at Prof. Dr. Hoeren's institute in Münster on the topic of remedying consequences in the right of expression.
