Luisa Scharl studied law at the University of Freiburg. While still a student, she worked as a student assistant at a law firm. After passing her first state examination, she worked as a research assistant at a notary’s office in Dresden.

She completed her legal clerkship at the Dresden Higher Regional Court. Her training placements took her to the Copyright and Competition Law Division of the Leipzig Regional Court and to a law firm in Leipzig specializing in media law. During her elective placement at Schertz Bergmann Rechtsanwälte, she deepened her knowledge of media law and freedom of expression.

Luisa Scharl has been an attorney at Schertz Bergmann Rechtsanwälte since 2025. She specializes in press law and freedom of expression. A particular focus of her work is on reporting on allegations, as well as advising and supporting companies in crisis situations involving press law. In addition, she assists clients in protecting their reputations in the digital sphere and on social media.
