The firm
The law firm Schertz Bergmann has been founded in January 2005 by
Dr.
Christian Schertz and
Simon Bergmann. Both have been partners at the
law firm Hertin, Berlin. Schertz Bergmann concentrates its practice on the areas
of press law, copyright law, media law as well as on the protection of
industrial property.
Among others, the firm consults high profile personalities such as, e.g.
international artists, entrepreneurs, athletes, and politicians in all legal
matters. Moreover, the firm regularly represents private persons, who became
subject to unauthorized press coverage. In addition, the firm permanently
provides advice to several daily newspapers, magazines, periodicals, book
publishers, agencies and several major German film and TV-producers.
The firm offers legal services for the whole range of entertainment law. That
includes above all the drafting and negotiating of voluminous artist and
advertising contracts. The firm also offers the expertise in unfair competition
and trade mark law, sports law and labour law, specifically labour law regarding
the media.
